THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vigilance special court here on Thursday directed the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau to file the quick verification report on the nepotism charges against former industries minister E.P. Jayarajan without fail on January 7. While the case came up before the Inquiry Commissioner and Special Court (Vigilance) here, the VACB informed that the probe was almost over and sought some more time to prepare the report.
The Vigilance also informed that certain fresh pieces of evidence regarding the allegations were also received recently. The court had ordered the quick verification in October considering a petition by activist Paichira Navaz and the Vigilance was already given extension of time on two occasions.
