Vijayawada: Minister for tourism and culture R.K. Roja along with Indian Medical Association national president Dr Sharad Kumar Agarwal inaugurated the IMA’s national level doctors sports meet at Doctors’ Sports Academy here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that as the doctors would be stressed out due to work pressure, taking part in such a programme would give them relief and appreciated the IMA for conducting national level event in AP.
The minister recalled the services of the doctors during the Covid-19 period and said that they would never forget their commendable commitment to serve the people.
She said that they were going to organise sports meets in the name of ‘Adudham Andhra’ from ward to state level in the state based on the direction from the Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. She thanked the IMA members for extending their support for successful conduct of Jagananna Suraksha programme in the state.
