Hyderabad: A “love affair” has turned sour between a Sub Inspector (SI) of CCS and another woman official from the TS Police. This led to the suspension of the CCS-SI, the SHO and a Sub Inspector of Chikkadpally police station on Tuesday.
Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar issued a memo on Tuesday, saying the SHO of Chikkadpally Sivashanker Rao, Sub Inspector Narsing Rao, CCS-SI Nagaraj Goud have been placed under suspension with immediate effect over allegations of misconduct, corruption, moral turpitude and intimidation of a complainant.
Reliable sources said Goud was having a love affair with a woman -- his batch-mate who is now with the TS police. “They sort of ended their relationship when the woman got married to another man in August last year. Later, the husband came across a photo of Goud and his wife on her phone. Following this, the couple had a fight.
The matter reached Chikkadpally police station. From then on, SHO Shivashanker Rao began negotiating between the two sides for a settlement. After a while, the husband got in touch with the city police commissioner’s office. He alleged that the SHO demanded Rs 30 lakh in cash from him to settle the matter.
The suspension orders came overnight and with immediate effect on Tuesday. There was no internal inquiry.
