Sadhu Vaswani Mission joins relief activities in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Relief operations still continue for the flood-affected in several areas of Hyderabad.
Sadhu Vaswani mission wanted to support the victim whose houses have been devastated by the floods. On Wednesday, they supplied a thousand lunch boxes in the Rasoolpur flood- affected area. As per requirement, they will be continuing it further. Grocery kits consisting of 10kgs rice, five kgs wheat, two kgs cooking oil, one kg sugar, tea powder, chilli powder, turmeric and salt were also distributed.
Mission secretary, Heera Rupani, said that from Friday onwards the distributions will take place in the areas of Rasoolpura, Chandrayangutta, Nimboliadda, Bhramanvadi, Chedarghat and a few other areas.
The mission was founded by J. P. Vaswani, soon after the independence and took up the challenge to educate the underprivileged. Other focus areas are charity and health care.
Regular actives of the mission involve ‘safed posh’ (white collar). Senior citizens in need of supplies as well some underprivileged who are in the same boat. The mission each month gives such people a cash voucher of Rs 1000 so that they can buy medicines or any personal requirements.
The Sadhu Vaswani international school, run by the mission, has 400 underprivileged students who are given free education.
