Chennai/Kanyakumari: Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan charged that the DMK has no moral right to convene all party meet on Cauvery issue.
Accusing both the DMK and the Congress of “having deceived the people of TN,” and for doing precious little on the Cauvery issue, Mr Radhakrishnan said the DMK and the Congress were responsible for the present crisis.
“They had not done anything to resolve the issue when they were in power but are now enacting a farce that they are supporting Tamil Nadu’s interest,” Mr. Radhakrishnan told reporters in Nagercoil, headquarters of Kanyakumari district from where he hails, on Saturday.
