Undavalli files plea in HC seeking probe on AP skill scam by Central agencies

Vijayawada: Former MP Undavalli Aruna Kumar filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday seeking a probe into the AP skill development scam involving Rs 371 crore by either the CBI or the Enforcement Directorate. He named TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu as one of the respondents in the petition, which has a total of 44 respondents.

In his petition, Kumar mentioned that the case pertains to misappropriation of public money from the state exchequer and involves several shell companies. He also mentioned that the Andhra Pradesh government has claimed that Naidu and others are the end beneficiaries of the scam, based on an inquiry report from the Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (APCID).

Kumar argued that there is a need for a thorough probe by central agencies to find out the facts of the case. He mentioned the following as respondents in his petition:

Union home secretary
Director of CBI
Director of ED
AP home principal secretary
Director of CID
TD leader K. Atchannaidu

Several others
