KAKINADA: Three individuals were electrocuted on Saturday while attempting to repair an agriculture borewell near Seetharampuram village in the Uppalapadu Panchayat of Gandepali mandal in Kakinada district.

As reported by the Gandepalli police, a borewell in a palmolein garden owned by 25-year-old farmer Galla Nagaraju had suffered damage. In order to carry out the repairs, Killi Nageswara Rao, 41, from Jaggampeta and an auto driver named Badireddy Suribabu, 40, from Burugupudi village in Kirlampudi mandal, who also served as an assistant to Nageswara Rao, arrived at Nagaraju's Palm oil gardens.

As the three individuals were in the process of lifting the iron pipes, they inadvertently came into contact with the 11 KV high tension wires running above the area, resulting in their electrocution. All three succumbed to their injuries. Gandepalli sub inspector Y. Ganesh Kumar filed a case.
