Hyderabad: The TS police on Thursday informed the Hyderabad HC that a memo has been filed before the lower court seeking to alter the suicide case of sub-inspector V. Ramakrishna Reddy.
Venugopal, counsel for the home department, while making a statement before Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao on behalf of Medak SP, said the Siddipet deputy police superintendent and inspector and other police personnel who were named in the suicide note of the SI would be shown as abettors to the suicide in the case under Section 306 after getting the court’s permission.
The judge was dealing with a petition by V. Dhana Lakshmi, wife of the SI, seeking a CBI probe into her husband’s death.
The petitioner told the court that her husband, in his suicide note, had clearly named some police personnel, including Sridhar Goud, Ramanjaneyulu, Venkataiah, A. Muthyam, Yadav Reddy, Raju, Nagi Reddy and Ghulam Samdani and held them responsible for his death. After recording the statement of Mr Venugopal, the judge adjourned the hearing.
