Super specialty services from December: EO

Kurnool: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer A.V. Dharma Reddy said the super specialty children’s hospital has achieved remarkable progress in less than a year and a half since its inception and other super specialty services are expected to be operational by December this year after completion of construction work.

As the chief guest at the International Temples Convention in Varanasi, Dharma Reddy presented a PowerPoint presentation on the spiritual and social service programmes offered by the temple. He said Sri Padmavathi Children’s hospital has done over 1,600 successful heart surgeries and four heart transplant surgeries, the hospital has been instrumental in saving lives and providing critical
medical care to children.

He explained that the TTD has earned a global reputation for its efficient temple management and said the Srivani Trust, established to construct new temples in SC, ST, and BC colonies, as well as restore ancient temples and prevent religious conversions, has made significant strides.

He said financial assistance has been extended to restore 170 ancient temples, completed the construction of 300 temples, and over two thousand temples are currently in various stages of development. The trust has received generous donations from devotees, with approximately Rs. 900 crore raised and Rs. 330 crore utilised for these projects, he added.

He said TTD's commitment to sustainable and natural agriculture has gained praise, with the use of cow-based natural agricultural products, free from chemicals and pesticides, for offerings to the Lord.

During the convention, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat commended TTD for its efforts in constructing new temples in underprivileged areas and restoring dilapidated temples through the Srivani Trust. He lauded the spiritual and social activities for their positive impact on society. Chairman of the Association Prasad Minesh Lad, founder of Temples Connect Girish Kulkarni, president of Chennai Local Advisory Board Shekhar Reddy, and others participated.
