Modi to inaugurate redeveloped ITPO Complex on July 26

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the redeveloped India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) complex in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on July 26. The complex, owned by the ITPO, has been under redevelopment since 2017. India's G20 leaders meetings scheduled in September are to be held in the redeveloped complex.

Spread in approximately 123 acres, the Pragati Maidan Complex is India's largest MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) destination. After the redevelopment, the IECC complex, has been placed among the top 10 exhibition and convention complexes in the world, in terms of the covered space available for events. It stands in competiton to colossal names such as the Hannover Exhibition Centre in Germany, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. The magnitude and sophisticated infrastructure of the IECC is a testament to India's capability to host world-class events on a grand scale.

The exhibition halls in the complex offer seven innovative spaces for showcasing products, innovations, and ideas. These state-of-the-art exhibition halls also form an ideal platform for exhibitors and companies, to engage with their target audience, fostering business growth.

In one of the halls at Level 3 in the convention centre, there is a grand seating capacity for 7,000 individuals, which surpasses that of the iconic Sydney Opera House in Australia, having a capacity of 5,000. This makes the IECC a venue fit for hosting mega conferences, international summits, and cultural extravaganzas.

The seating capacity of the amphitheatre at 3,000, is equivalent to three PVR theatres combined, also forms the ideal stage for grand cultural shows, entertainment events with its mesmerizing ambience.

Even the parking space at the IECC, has been designed to cater to around 5,500 vehicles. The venue can be reached without much hassle through signal-free roads.
