ADILABAD: A bunch of monkeys attacked the owner of an Apollo medical shop in the Beat market in Luxettipet town on Sunday evening, and one of them died after being crushed when the startled shop owner abruptly closed the shutter after two monkeys entered his shop.
Customers who were buying drugs were agitated and attempted to chase them away. The troop of monkeys were enraged when they noticed one of them was bleeding and died when it was crushed beneath the shutter, wreaking havoc by invading the shop and throwing the pharmaceutical boxes, as well as shrieking and panicking the people nearby.
The remaining monkeys had carried the dead monkey’s body into the lane and crowded around it. Later, the medical shop personnel buried the monkey’s body.
