For Amit Shah, LDF is ruling Left

BJP national president Amit Shah posted a slew of tweets on his micro blogging site.

Thiruvananthapuram: After the flip-flop on the Kerala-Somalia comparison, the BJP central leadership’s hasty response blaming the yet-to-be sworn in LDF ministry for the violence in Kerala has landed the party in an embarrassing situation. Hours after the BJP’s march turned violent in New Delhi, BJP national president Amit Shah posted a slew of tweets on his micro blogging site.

“We are concerned about the safety of our Karyakartas and assure our full support in their fight against an undemocratic Left regime,” went one. But CPM leaders pointed out that with the way in which Mr Shah has used the word ‘undemocratic’ when the CPM has won the majority to head the State in the recently concluded Assembly elections betrays his scorn for the people.

Attacking the Left Front, Mr Shah had on Saturday accused it of "violating" the people's mandate as his party said it will not sit quiet and fight on the streets if violence continues.”

“This act by supporters of the ruling Left violates the democratic spirit and mandate that the people of Kerala gave them just 2 days back”, tweeted Amit Shah on Saturday. CPM sources pointed out that the party has not become a ‘ruling party’ yet.
