Minister Puttaraju is a good actor: Sumalatha Ambareesh

Mandya: Though polling for the parliamentary constituencies in South Karnataka ended last week, the war of words between Janata Dal (Secular) leaders and Mandya Independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh, continues as usual.

Earlier, Minor Irrigation Minister C.S. Puttaraju had taken a dig at Ms Sumalatha remarking that she was not a good actress.

He had also said that he would retire from politics if the victory margin of Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the Janata Dal (Secular) candidate and son of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, was less than two lakh votes. On Monday, Ms Sumalatha told the media that she did not have to impress anyone as people were the ultimate judges.

She also urged the home department to take stern action against some miscreants who had not only threatened her and her son, Abhishek Gowda, but also two leading Kannada leading actors, Mr Darshan Tugudeepa and Mr Yash during her poll campaign.

Ms Sumalatha was confident of winning the Mandya seat by a big margin and thanked people of the constituency for coming out in large numbers to vote for her.
