Bhatti Vikramarka, family celebrate Ugadi with Adivasi farmers

HYDERABAD: CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and his family celebrated Ugadi festival with Adivasi farmers and their families at the interior Modi village in Kerameri mandal of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on Wednesday.

Bhatti Vikramarka offered naivedyams to cows and performed special rituals in the agriculture fields apart from the traditional rituals of cutting the bushes and holding the weed-removal operations in the fields of local farmers.

The CLP leader’s wife Nandini Mallu and son Surya Vikramaditya Mallu and family friend Harindra Apparasu who came from Hyderabad joined the Ugadi festival celebrations. They, along with Bhatti Vikramarka, participated in a special dinner with the locals.

The CLP leader plowed the agricultural land as a mark of the initiation of the new year’s first agriculture operations marking the Ugadi festival.

Bhatti Vikramarka said he and his wife celebrated the Ugadi festival with the local farmer Morle Venkatrao, his wife Vasantha and their children Pandurang and Thara. He conveyed his best wishes to the people of the state and the Telugus living elsewhere and abroad, and hoped that this Telugu New Year would bring prosperity to all their lives.

Nandini Mallu served the special dishes prepared for the festival to the local people and the staff involved in her husband’s padayatra. The family took photographs with the local people and staff.

Congress farmers wing state president Anwesh Reddy, DCC president Vishwaprasad, Kisan wing district president Mallesh, Congress leaders Dr Ganesh Rathod, Marsakola Sarawathi, Kotnaik Tirupathi, Purka Bapurao, Kontham Ramesh, Lingampalli Chandraiah, Jadhav Suneel and others were present.
