Sushma Swaraj scolds Navy officer on Twitter, rescues him from Yemen
New Delhi: Known for her swift actions, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj helped rescue an Indian Navy officer from Yemen, whose vessel Jag Prabha was stuck in Aden.
The officer tweeted, “OS @SushmaSwaraj , pls help me & my wife repatriate India from Aden, Yemen. I am chief officer in indian vessel Jag Prabha, stuck in Aden.” (sic).
Swaraj responded by asking him if there were any Indian Navy ship close by and the number of Indian nationals on the vessel.
However, keeping in mind her responsibilities, the minister also scolded the officer for disregarding the travel advisory in the sensitive region of Yemen. The officer has been rescued but his wife is still in Yemen.
