Domlur bridge work to continue for 2 more days

The down ramp of the flyover from Indiranagar 100 feet road towards MG Road was closed from Sunday for resurfacing.

Bengaluru: The chaos on Domlur flyover is set to continue for another two days as the resurfacing of its two ramps are in progress. However, lack of proper signages regarding alternate routes has confused motorists, leading to traffic snarls.

The down ramp of the flyover from Indiranagar 100 feet road towards M.G. Road was closed from Sunday for resurfacing. Even before the work of this ramp could be completed, the up ramp, which connects Old Airport Road to Koramangala was also closed on Tuesday, adding to the existing confusion.

When Deccan Chronicle sought the reaction of an Executive Engineer from BBMP Traffic Engineering Cell, he said "Majority of works relating to resurfacing the ramps using all weather durable tik tar rolls has been done. Both the ramps will be opened for traffic after completion of some pending works including painting."

All those who wish to head to MG Road from Indiranagar 100 feet road need to take a right turn before the flyover, reach Domlur bus stand, take a right turn to reach M.G. Road, the official said.

He further added that those who want to head to Kormangala from Domlur and M G Road should take a U-turn at Manipal hospital junction and then take a left turn below the flyover.
