Congress MLA K Muraleedharan targets party top brass

It is reliably learnt that Mr Muraleedharan is expected to call on Mr Gandhi on Wednesday.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress MLA K. Muraleedharan has demanded that the existing practice among the three senior leaders of the Congress deciding everything has to end. He also asked them to take into confidence the 21-member high-power political affairs committee before making crucial party decisions as the current norm is that the members come to know of it through the media.

He came down heavily on the trio – PCC chief V. M. Sudheeran, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and former chief minister Oommen Chandy, saying they took decision disregarding the high-power committee appointed by vice-president Rahul Gandhi meant to end 'groupism'. It is reliably learnt that Mr Muraleedharan is expected to call on Mr Gandhi on Wednesday.
