MP: Dream big, achieve big, PM exhorts youths

Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday exhorted the youths to ‘dream big and achieve big’.

Addressing a function to mark the 125th foundation day celebration of ‘The Scindia School’ in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Mr Modi said, “We have resolved to make India a developed country in the next 25 years and the young generation has a key role to play in achieving the goal”.

Mr Modi said he has faith in the youth and their potential in realising the goal of making India a developed country in the next 25 years.

He exhorted the youths not to rest until they realise their dreams and called upon them to ‘dram big, achieve big’.

Mr Modi said he has created an atmosphere in the country to ensure that there should be no dearth of opportunities for the young generation.

“Ever since I became PM in 2014, my focus has been to create a positive atmosphere in the country to ensure that there should be no death of opportunities for the young generation so that the youth can see big dreams and achieve them”, he said.

He said there were very few start-ups in the country when he became PM.

Now, the number of start-ups has touched one lakh mark, leading to growth of more than 100 unicorns.

Mr Modi said he has special relations with the Gwalior royal family of Scindias.

“Firstly, I am an MP from Kashi. The Scindia family has played a significant role in the development of Kashi. The Scindia family has built many ‘ghats’ ( a broad flight of steps) on the bank of river Ganga and has provided financial assistance for establishment of BHU”, he said.

This apart, Jyotiraditya Scindia is the son-in-law of Gujarat and in that context, I have a relation with Gwalior, he added.

Students of ‘The Scindia School’ presented a dance performance to the tune of Garba song “Madi” penned by Mr Modi.

He also laid the foundation stone for a multipurpose sports complex in the school on the occasion.

Mr Scindia facilitated Mr Modi on the occasion and said the stature of India has grown leaps and bounds at the international level under his leadership.

Madhya Pradesh governor Mangubhai Patel and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan were also present on the occasion.
