Is Naidu Ready for CBI Probe, Asks Minister Rambabu

The minister said that people of the SC, ST, BC and Minorities did not forget the injustice Naidu did on them during the TD terms

VIJAYAWADA: Water Resources Minister Ambati Rambabu has stressed that Telugu Desam chief Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in the AP Skill Development scam on the basis of clear evidence.

“The court sent Naidu to remand on the basis of evidence,” he said and refuted the allegations of a YSR Congress “conspiracy” behind the arrest. He released an ‘open letter’ in reply to the letter released by Naidu from jail on Sunday.

Rambabu said, “If Chandrababu had courage and a belief in himself, I would file a petition in the court regarding the value of his assets. Are you ready to face a CBI probe without seeking a stay or bail through courts? He alleged that the government got him arrested out of political vendetta. If so, why does he not seek a CBI probe into the charges?”

The minister wrote his open letter with 12 questions. He expressed his doubt about how Chandrababu’s letter came out of the Rajahmundry Jail.

“As per Chandrababu’s letter he was not in jail. If so, he must withdraw his legal battle and squash the bail petitions. You spoke about your concern for people’s welfare. List at least four schemes you implemented during your rule,” he challenged Naidu.

The minister said that people of the SC, ST, BC and Minorities did not forget the injustice Naidu did on them during the TD terms.

Further, to clarify the meaning of the Telugu People’s development and welfare, he stated, "According to Chandrababu Naidu, Telugu people mean the Yellow Media who helped him backstab former chief minister NTR, his friends who are in BJP and Congress Party and the few people who had the ‘yellow’ blood in the Left parties."

Minister Rambabu reminded Naidu that the show-cause notice on the TD chief was issued by the central IT Department, which cited him as a corrupt politician. After that, the Enforcement Department arrested four persons in the Skill Development scam. In this scam, Chandrababu Naidu played the main role. He said that the arrest and judicial remand of Chandrababu were upheld by the AP high court and the Supreme Court.

On the statement by Naidu about the TD election manifesto, the minister reminded him of the 650 assurances he gave peope during the 2014 TD manifesto, but “none of the assurances had been fulfilled.
