Hold Nandi drama festival in Tenali: Dilip Raja

Vijayawada: Telugu film director Dilip Raja has urged the AP state film and drama development corporation to organise Nandi drama festival in Tenali town, which is a renowned cultural hub. Speaking at a press meet here on Thursday, Raja said this was the wish of the masses and the government must consider it. Raja, who is also the founder of union of Movie Artists Association, Andhra Pradesh (Maa-AP), said Tenali has a history of over five decades in organising drama festivals.

He said members of Maa-AP in Tenali are ready to volunteer for it. Further, urban theatre artists of Tenali are ready to cooperate for Nandi Natakotsavam, he said. He asked the president of the state film and drama development corporation Posani Krishna Murali and managing director Vijay Kumar Reddy to consider his request in view of the fact that there are a large number of artists living in Tenali.
