BJP demands removal of encroachment on Rudrabhoomi

Kurnool: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded the removal of encroachment on Rudrabhoomi, a Hindu burial ground, in the Jammichettu area of Kurnool city.

BJP leader K. Harish Babu submitted a petition to the Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) office on Monday, raising concerns over the encroachment and the proposed construction of a water overhead tank on the premises.

The Hindu graveyard in this location has been encroached upon for many years due to undefined boundaries. This has raised concerns about the legality and appropriateness of the planned water tank.

Harish Babu urged the KMC to conduct a thorough investigation into the encroachment issue and take appropriate legal action against those responsible. He also suggested that the KMC consider using a small-sized excavator for digging pits in the Hindu burial ground, instead of using a large excavator that could damage the graves.

BJP leaders Daresh Goud, Vicky Venkateswarlu, Praveen Yadav, and Ganesh also participated in the programme.
