Mumbai: In a series of tweets, actor Rishi Kapoor has attacked the practice of naming all the major assets of the country after the Nehru-Gandhi family. The actor, who had in the recent past, been critical of the saffron forces on issues like intolerance, picked up the Congress for his blast this time.
Kapoor said the names of the prominent places should be changed after those who worked for the welfare of the country. Similarly, MoS Gen (retd) V.K. Singh had pitched for the rechristening Akbar Road after Maharana Pratap.

There cannot be two opinions about the fact that in Independent India, efforts of several individuals have not got their due. It is time that the government of the day corrects this historic wrong and ensures that in the process, they do not commit another error.
