Government should answer if eviction fails: Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan

Kottayam: If the Munnar eviction initiative fails, the onus of responsibility will be on the LDF government said Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, MLA here on Friday. Speaking to reporters, he said eviction could have been possible without removing the cross. "Hurting the religious sentiments of a vast number of people could have been avoided," he said. The removal of cross has turned public sentiments against the officials who spear-headed the demolition drive. The incident may spoil the purpose of a great initiative to evict the encroachments, Mr. Radhakrishnan pointed out.
