Project land prices get Kerala purchasing panel approval
KOCHI: The State Level Purchasing Committee has approved the land price proposed by District Level Purchase Committee for various projects in Ernakulam. Price for acquiring land for projects like Kochi Metro, Amballur Electronics and Hardware Park, Thammanam-Pullepady Road development, approach roads for Kannangat Bridge and Mancherikuzhy Bridge has been approved by the SLPC meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. The Committee has approved the rates of land to be acquired for Vyttila-Petta road development, Desabhimani-Kaoor road widening, Elamkulam station construction along SA Road and relocating the extra HT electric lines in Choornikkara village.
The Kochi Metro Rail has requested for acquisition of 28.46 Are (11.52 cents) of land in category 2 and 76.81 Are (18.95 cents) of land in category 3 for widening the Vyttila-Pettah Road. Of the 22 land holders in category 2, 12 owners have given consent, while 14 land owners among the 56 owners in category 3 have also given consent for surrendering plots. The DLPC has fixed the land price at Rs 67,60,752 per Are for category 2 and Rs 55,64,380 per Are for category 3.
For the widening of Desabhimani-Kaloor road, a total area 1.02 Are has to be acquired. The land is possessed by five owners who have already given consent letter. The DLPC has fixed the land price at Rs .98,84,000 per Are. The DLPC has proposed land price in four categories for Thammanam-Pullepady road widening. Land price for construction of the approach road for Station Kadavu Bridge in Puthanvelikara and Chendamangalam panchayats has been ratified by the State Level Committee.
