Health minister K.K. Shailaja reminded the protesters that it could not go without affiliation. A five-member committee headed by Higher Education principal secretary B. A joint meeting in the presence of K.K. Shailaja and education minister C. Raveendranath in the state capital had on Jan 27 decided to give equivalency and recognition to its courses with retroactive effect from 2009. She also told reporters that the government was viewing last week’s attack on a film star in Kochi with ‘utmost seriousness’.
