Bill to control expenses at private hospitals: K K Shailaja
Kottayam: The clinical establishment bill intended to control the expense rates in the private hospitals in the state legally will be introduced in the budget meeting, said Health Minister K.K. Shailaja. “The government has limitations to control the rates of expenses in the private hospitals in the current scenario. The bill will be introduced in the budget meeting in the context that the rates of the private hospitals are becoming unaffordable to the ordinary public”, she said.
She said that though the government health facilities are functioning, only 34 percent of the public are approaching the government hospitals for treatment. The government is trying to make a change to this scenario, she said. She said that the government will give big priority to the Idukki government MCH. Priorities will also be given to the MCHs at the Wayaand and Kasargod districts, she said.
