KOZHIKODE: The minority commission headed by Justice (retd) P.K. Haneefa has asked the district collector to ensure the presence of his representative before the commission for dealing with a complaint filed by a woman employee of the collectorate. The complaint is that she had suffered an injury in an accident during working hours but the special disability leave was denied. The collector had replied that the accident did not happen during duty time.
As many as 33 petitions came up before the adalat held at the collectorate conference hall for Kozhikode and Wayanad districts on Saturday. Two complaints regarding police excesses were put off to the next adalat as the complainants were not present. Five petitions were disposed of. Commission member B.M. Thomas was also present.
