Telangana: TRS leader kicks youth in viral video, jolts police into probe

Hyderabad: A local TRS leader of Suryapet repeatedly kicking a job seeker went viral on social media forcing the police to launch a probe. The man, who is identified as Santhosh, allegedly cheated youths after taking money from them promising jobs, and when they asked for their money back, he attacked a victim, sources said.

The video shows two persons sitting on the ground and pleading with hands folded with a man sitting on a chair. There is a background poster written in Telugu saying ‘Private Job Consultancy’.

During the conversation, the man points his fingers to the youths and suddenly starts kicking one of them. After the video went viral, Suryapet police launched a probe to track down the man.

“We are checking who the man in the video is. No one has come forward to file a complaint in connection with the incident,” DySP (Suryapet Division) Sunitha Mohan said.

Sources said Santosh collected amounts ranging between Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh from unemployed youths promising jobs. However, as some of them did not get jobs they approached Santosh. He then allegedly abused two of the youths and kicked one of them.
