Orders issued to set up Diwali cracker shops in Hyderabad

Applicants can apply for temporary licence in Form AE-5 of the Explosives Rules through https://www.tspolice.gov.in

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad city police officials issued orders for setting up shops to sell firecrackers for the upcoming Diwali.

“Applicants desirous of possessing and selling firecrackers on the eve of Diwali festival on temporary basis within the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad City Police will be issued licence under the Explosives Act of 1884 and Rules, 1983 (as amended – 2008), by the deputy commissioner of police of the zones concerned. Any contravention would attract penal provisions and other action as stipulated under the Act and the Rules,” said city police officials.

In connection with ease of doing business, applicants are required to apply for temporary licence in Form AE-5 of the Explosives Rules through the https://www.tspolice.gov.in or http://eservices.tspolice.gov.in for necessary action before October 30, 2021.

Those applying should enclose an NOC from the divisional fire officer, land permission issued by the MCH authorities in case of government land, NOC/agreement from the owner of the land/premises in case of private land, copy of licence if any issued in previous year (optional), NOC from neighbours in case of a single shop located in a pucca structure and a site plan of the shop/blueprint copy along with the duly filled in application form.

“Original licence fee receipt for Rs 600 paid in the in State Bank of Hyderabad, Gunfoundry, Hyderabad, towards licence fee for setting up cracker shops under the Head of Account-0055-Police, 800-other receipts, 81-other items, 001-receipts. Applications received without the above documents through the website will be summarily rejected,” added the officials.
