Congress leaders condole Ramachandra Reddy's death

KCR announces full state honours to former minister

HYDERABAD: The AICC expressed deep shock at the untimely demise of former minister and four-time legislator Chilukuri Ramachandra Reddy on Thursday. The leader, who hailed from Adilabad, served as a minister twice.

Congress leaders, who expressed condolences, included Manikrao Thakre, Rohit Chaudhary, Vishnu Das, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mahesh Kumar Goud and G. Niranjan. They said in his death the party had lost a senior leader who worked for the people. He leaves a big void in Adilabad district, they said.

Congress veterans V. Hanumantha Rao and M. Kodanda Reddy will represent TPCC at the funeral.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, who condoled the demise of Ramachandra Reddy, announced that the last rites of Reddy will be performed with full state honours. He directed chief secretary Santhi Kumari to ensure all arrangements.
