Medical college bribery: Vaikom Viswan bats for vigilance probe
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Left Democratic Front (LDF) convener Vaikom Viswan on Thursday demanded a vigilance inquiry against BJP leaders in the MCI bribery scandal. Speaking to reporters here, he said BJP's mask of anti-corruption slogans had fallen as its internal probe found their Central and state leaders bribed for MCI recognition to medical colleges.
"It's only a scintilla of information that was leaked out," he said. "The role of BJP leaders in the printing of fake notes has also been established. The vigilance should conduct a comprehensive inquiry to bring out the truth," he said. To a question, he said the LDF had not yet discussed accommodating Kerala Congress (M). "If any such proposal comes from the KC (M), we will discuss and take a decision," the LDF convener said.
