KURNOOL: A man and his daughter were electrocuted at their house in H Khairavadi of Gonegandla mandal on Thursday. The deceased were identified as K. Ramanjaneyulu, 38, and his daughter, Indu, 11. According to the police, Indu was cleaning the floor in the house when she came in contact with a live wire dangling from the roof. Under the impact of the shock, she was thrown away from the place.
Ramanjaneyulu seeing his daughter lying on the floor thought she must have suffered from epilepsy and soon ran to her. He too immediately suffered shock and was thrown away. Their family members, who saw both Indu and her father in an unconscious state realised that something went wrong. Seeing the wire dangling from the roof, they suspected the duo suffered shock.
On info, the police reached the place and shifted the bodies to Yemmiganur hospital for post-mortem. A case was registered and inquiry is on, Gonegandla SI K. Krishnamurthy said the dual deaths led to grief in the village.
