WAYANAD: The navy team recovered one more body of the drowning victim on Thursday. The body of Sachin, 20 was located few meters away from the spot of the accident. They had fished out two bodies earlier, and one is still missing. The four went missing on Sunday night when their crudely built country boat capsized in high winds in the reservoir while fishing. The search operations were started the next morning. The Navy joined them Tuesday.
The body of Sachin was handed over to relatives after conducting a post-mortem at the district hospital, Mananthavady. The body of the victim yet to be spotted is of Molekkunnel Binu, 42, a native of Chembukadavu, Thiruvambadi. The search operations will continue on Friday, officials said. Apart from the 12 Navy divers, the scuba diving team of Fire and Rescue, the underwater search team and Thurki Jeevan Raksha Samithi, Kalpetta, also are part of the rescuers. District collector N. Suhas is coordinating the activities.
