HYDERABAD: Telangana Jagruthi member Naveen Goud lodged a complaint against Chintapandu Naveen alias Teenmaar Mallanna, with LB Nagar police for making defamatory comments against BRS MLC K. Kavitha, and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao.
BRS cadre and supporters are deeply anguished and outraged due to the comments made by Mallanna, Goud said.
The complaint demanded immediate action be taken against Mallanna and his channel should be banned.
“We have received a complaint and are investigating, LB Nagar police inspector R. Anji Reddy said. Based on the complaint, police registered a case under sections 505 and 506 of the IPC and are investigating.
Police sources disclosed that BRS followers also filed a complaint with Rachakonda cyber crime against Mallanna for releasing a video on Sunday in which he used derogatory language against Rama Rao. After investigation, police are likely to take Mallanna into custody, sources disclosed.
