Khadeer\'s wife approaches High Court for compensation

HYDERABAD: Siddeshwari, wife of Khadeer Khan, who allegedly died after being beaten by the Medak police, on Tuesday moved a lunch motion writ petition before Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy, seeking a direction to the state government to constitute a special investigation team (SIT) to probe into the death.

She also sought compensation of Rs 50 lakh and a direction from the Medak superintendent of police to freeze the CCTV footage of the police station which showed the third-degree torture that her husband was subjected to.

Justice Vijaysen Reddy heard the petition and directed the registry to tag it with the suo motu writ petition taken up by the High Court regarding the death of Khadeer Khan.
