SCB gets pending army service charges

Hyderabad: J. Rama Krishna, member, Secunderabad Cantonment Board on Friday met Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director-General, Defence Estates (DGDE), in Delhi and discussed various issues with reference to the cantonment. According to a release, Rama Krishna thanked Union minister Kishan Reddy for taking up the initiative in resolving the service charges issue.

He said the DGDE office had released the pending service charges of the Army. “To begin with Rs 25 crore were sanctioned for Secunderabad Cantonment Board,” he said.

Rama Krishna also said that the SCB would be concentrating on improving civic amenities and resolving water supply issues with the state government.
