Hyderabad: The Lord’s Sanctuary Church which was preparing for Christmas wore a sad look on Monday, as people gathered beside Mario Hruday Kabra’s body.
Mario was killed in an accident on ORR on Sunday. Mario, who was a guitarist and a member of the church’s choir, had his heart on sports bikes. He had purchased a Benelli bike three months ago, but after two major accidents his parents sold the bike.
Mario Hruday Kabra was the eldest son of Israel Uday Kabra, a pastor and Catherine. He has a sibling named Monika. Uday Kabra runs a church on the first floor of the rented building.
Mario, who was doing first year degree in BA Journalism and Mass Communication at St Joseph’s Degree College, had a passion for music and bikes. A few months ago he started a music centre at home, where around 20 kids used to come to learn guitar.
A church member said that Mario spoke to her after Sunday’s prayer about Christmas. “I remember him with a guitar in his hands. I cannot stomach the fact that Mario will not be with us this Xmas,” she said.
While Uday, Catherine and Monika were inconsolable, relatives and friends poured in to share their grief. Mario had purchased a Benelli bike but had an accident on the first day itself. A few days later he had another accident and broke both his legs. Doctors inserted rods on both legs and the middle finger on his left hand.
After the accidents his parents sold off the bike. “We thought he was lucky because he escaped two major accidents, but never thought we would see him like this,” another friend said.
