Association demands Tamil Nadu CM's intervention: NEET

The association also demanded that the NEET not be made mandatory in the state and admissions be controlled by the state.

Chennai: The Doctors’ Association for Social Equality (DASE) has put in efforts to remove the compulsion of state students appearing in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) for medical admissions.

Dr G. R. Ravindranath of the Association met Chief Minister O. Paneerselvam requesting him to intervene. DASE urged that the CM bring it forth in the Parliament to exempt Tamil Nadu students from NEET.

“The syllabus pattern should also be changed to help students score well. The NEET law is against the weaker section of the society,” he said.
