Sadbhavana Award for Dr Sanjeeva Reddy

Hyderabad: Intuc president Dr G. Sanjeeva Reddy, a former MP, was conferred the 33rd Sadbhavana Award on the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Day on Thursday. The award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the betterment of society.

In an event held at Charminar, the award was conferred on Dr Sanjeeva Reddy in recognition of his 70 years of exceptional and unwavering dedication to the uplift of the working class and fostering harmony, peace and unity.

The event was organised by TPCC vice-president G. Niranjan and attended by Congress leader and former Union minister of state Deepa Dasmunshi, AICC secretary Masoor Ali Khan and former MP V. Hanumantha Rao.

Others at the event were Kodanda Reddy, R.D. Chandra Shekar, G. Satyajeeth Reddy, Bhasker Reddy, Naganna Goud and R. Prakash Goud, along with Congress and Intuc leaders.

Dr Sanjeeva Reddy expressed his gratitude and said, “I am deeply humbled and honoured to receive the Sadbhavana Award. This recognition reaffirms my commitment to continue working towards a more inclusive, harmonious, and peaceful society. Together, we can build a better world."

The day marks the anniversary of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi hoisting the Congress flag at the Charminar and commencing his Sadbhavana Yatra in 1990.
