Bengaluru: J.P. Nagar residents may be used to getting bombarded with real estate advertisements in newspapers and hoardings on a daily basis, but this particular one really stood out. It was in the form of posters put up on walls and trees in the area.
However, what actually caught their eye was the content. Gurusiddaiah, a 55-year-old resident of Kaveri nagar colony in J.P. Nagar, had put up paper posters requesting people to buy his house, as he is not in a position to avail treatment for his kidney ailment. Gurusiddaiah had stated that he was selling his house to avail treatment for kidney failure and also pleaded with local residents not to tear the poster.
When this newspaper contacted his wife Susheela, she said that her husband has been battling with the problem for the last three years. “We want to sell the house to get treatment for this problem. Currently he is undergoing dialysis on a daily basis. If we sell our house we can avail treatment and clear all the loans,” she said.
The couple had no children and they had adopted a girl, who is now married.
