Hyderabad: Six children and two infants were among the 12 persons who escaped unhurt when an old dilapidated building in which they were staying collapsed at Malakpet. Teams from Moghalpura fire station rushed to the spot and rescued all the inmates.
On Sunday night, the building, located on the Kali Khabar Road, collapsed. At the time of the incident, two infants, six children aged 10 and below, two women in their 20s and another woman in her 50s were present in the building. They were distributed in two floors of the building.
Fire personnel said that the building could have become weak due to the recent heavy rains and collapsed. They were shifted to shelter homes. No case has been registered on this incident.
