Hyderabad: A Class II girl who hit by a speeding MUV while crossing the road died on the way to the hospital at Kukatpally on Thursday evening. The police said that the girl slipped and fell on the road when the vehicle hit her on a high speed.
According to the Kukatpally police, the incident took place at around 4.30 pm near Nikitha grocery store in AVB Puram of Kukatpally.
Srinivasa Rao, 35, a resident of AVB Puram is a mason. He has two daughters aged 9 and seven. His elder daughter Jahnavi is studying Class III and younger daughter Rishitha was a Class II student at St. Rita High School located in the neighbourhood.
On Thursday, after the completion of the school, both the girl was heading home on foot. When they reached the road at Nikitha grocery store and while crossing the road, Rishitha slopped and fell down the road. A MUV (YS08 UD8718) that was passing in the route has hit the girl and the girl suffered severe bleeding injuries. The passersby immediately arranged a vehicle to shift the girl to a nearby hospital, but she died midway, said the police. On the complaint of the father, the cops registered a case against the driver of the MUV.
