HYDERABAD: Establishing an e-seva Kendra adjacent to the new filing section within the precincts of the Telangana State High Court drew wholesome praise from the Chief Justice of the High Court, Justice Alok Aradhe, here on Saturday.
Present on the occasion were judges, the advocate general, the chairman of the State Bar Council, the president of the Bar Association, and members of the legal fraternity.
The Kendra will serve the litigant public, advocates, and parties in person in several ways. The immediate future plans include making available the status of cases to obtaining soft copies of the court orders. This will help in achieving the constitutional goal of access to justice for all.
Among the services that are offered at the center are getting information about status of cases, downloading the mobile app of e-courts; information about judges on leave; online applications for certified copies and other such filings; guiding people on availing free legal services from the district legal service authority, and the High Court and Supreme Court legal service committees; facilitating booking of e-mulakat meetings in jail; attending to queries about the location of any particular court, and facilitating payment of traffic challans and of other petty offenses.
