Andhra Pradesh: Health supervisor in ACB net

ANANTAPUR: Kadapa ACB sleuths caught a health supervisor of Pendlimarri Primary Health Centre while accepting a bribe from RMP at Pendlimarri in Kadapa district on Saturday.

ACB DSP P. Kanjaria said that the PHC medical officer planned to inspect all RMP and PMP clinics over allegations of conducting treatment as against guidelines of first aid centres.

The PHC supervisor V. Ramesh reportedly threatened the RMP practitioner K.V. Brahmananda of Yelatlur village. He demanded Rs. 6,000 to avoid inspection and finally agreed to Rs. 4,000 to solve the issue. RMP practitioner Brahmananda lodged a complaint against the supervisor through the state government's APP.

The ACB sleuths caught the supervisor Ramesh red handed while accepting a bribe from the RMP practitioner. He was arrested and produced before the ACB court.
