Muhammed Aslam murder: Lookout notice for three accused

Mr Aslam was acquitted by court in the murder along with seventeen others.

KOZHIKODE: The police has issued a lookout notice for the three accused from Valayam near Vadakara in connection with the murder of IUML worker Muhammed Aslam. An accused in the murder of DYFI worker Shibin, Aslam was killed on August 12 after hitting the bike on which he was travelling. Mr Aslam was acquitted by court in the murder along with seventeen others. The notice was issued by DySP T Sajeevan who is heading the investigation.

Information has been passed to all airports of the state and airports of neighboring states to check any move by the accused to escape to Gulf, police said. Circle inspector Sajeevan told DC that the names of the accused could not be exposed as it would affect the investigation. The total number of the accused is yet to be finalised, he said.

Police has also persuing the Closed Circuit TV visuals of the many shops along the Palloor-Thalassery highway on reports that the gangsters had escaped to Kannur after the murder of Muhammed Aslam. Meanwhile a shop of a youth was set ablaze at Nadapuram on Thursday night whose brother was interrogated by the police in connection with the murder.
