Coimbatore: Solar scam accused Saritha Nair on Tuesday dropped yet another bombshell alleging that former Union minister and DMK leader S. S. Palanimanickam had a role in the multi-crore scandal.
Former DMK Minister Palanimanickam took a bribe from her to resolve an income tax issue of her client. Speaking to journalists after appearing before the Judicial Magistrate Court VI in connection with a cheating case here, Saritha Nair said that minister Palanimanickam took a bribe from her to solve an income tax problem of her client.
“I had written about it in the letter submitted to the Commission for Inquiry. The former minister also harassed and threatened me demanding more money. Except him, there was no one else involved in the scam from Tamil Nadu,” she alleged.
Saritha Nair said that she submitted both the digital and documentary evidence against all those involved in the scam before the Inquiry commission. “I had given a list 13 politicians, who were involved in the scam. Of them, five politicians sexually exploited me. They simply made me a tool to fulfill their ulterior criminal agenda,” she revealed.
