Leader flays racial attack on Kummanam Rajasekharan
Thiruvananthapuram: Former BJP state president P.K. Krishnadas lamented the controversy over incumbent Kummanam Rajasekharan's Kochi Metro ride with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The national executive member said it was a dangerous trend that a leader who is on the opposite front is being targeted by his colour and community. He asked the media whether it is right for them to carry such news denigrating a leader.
Mr Krishnadas alleged that tourism minister Kadakampally Surendran tried to defame the metro inauguration by targeting him under the guise of defaming Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. "The minister has expressed his displeasure in inviting PM. If he had any differences, what he should have done was to say it in the cabinet," he said. "He was targeting the CM by his criticism, which is a cheap tactic. He should have spoken after understanding the protocol. He should have crosschecked with the CMO before taking to the Facebook."
