KOZHIKODE: The house of CPM district committee member K.K. Dinesan in Mokeri was attacked with crude bombs in the early hours of Monday, completely destroying its front door on the ground floor. The granite floor and the windows are also damaged under the impact of the blast from two petrol bombs thrown at the house, said the police, who inspected the spot.
Mr Dinesan said the explosives were hurled by two men who arrived on a bike and fled. He and wife Ramya were at home. CPM took out a protest march in Mokeri town alleging a murder attempt on him. Former MLA K.K. Lathika said the conspiracy behind the attack should be probed. Police said such attacks on homes of leaders were prevalent in the CPM stronghold for a week. Rural SP M.K. Pushkaran, Nadapuram DySP K. Ismail and Kuttiyadi CI T.S. Sajeevan visited the place.
