KOCHI: The State Human Rights Commission acting chairman P. The order was issued following a petition submitted to him alleging that the relatives of the migrant labourers killed in the accident involving the foreign ship and fishing boat Carmel Matha off Kochi coast, are being exploited by middlemen.

The commission also observed that the number of middlemen who make money by exploiting migrant labourers with the help of officials including government officials is increasing day after day. He also observed that Malayalis even if they are educated or not are lazy about doing work. The petitioner P. K.
