People living beyond Uppal rue poor RTC services

Hyderabad: For all its claims to being there for the general public, which are also appreciated, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has been drawing flak from people in some localities, who decry that the corporation buses hardly touch their areas.

Residents of Peerzadiguda, Pravathapuram, Kachivanisaingaram, and Pratapsingaram, which are farther from Uppal, are finding it difficult to commute to their offices and colleges.

Rachapalli Apara Satyanarayana, a resident of Peerzadiguda, said “the frequency of buses is erratic. Buses from Koti and Secunderabad to Pratapsingaram (route numbers, 284p, 111) are very few. Also suffering because of this poor bus service are those living in Peerzadiguda, Pravathapuram, Kachivanisaingaram and Pratapsingaram. Most employees and students are suffering, who have depend on private transport or sharing autos to reach Uppal.”

Archana Mali from Srikrishna nagar colony, Peerzadiguda, said “My office is in Patny circle. As there are few buses on this route, and though I have a bus pass I mostly depend on sharing autos to reach Uppal.”
